Naturally Network at SupplySide West 2022

SupplySide West 2022 was an incredible opportunity for Naturally Network. Thank you to our partner, SupplySide, for supporting us and giving space to emerging brands to shine at their first tradeshow.

We were absolutely blown away by the number of people who visited and engaged with us, our goal was to connect people to community, and we feel confident we did exactly that. Our booth was utilized by dozens of attendees, both Naturally Chapter Members and new friends, founders, and CPG supporters, as they networked and connected with suppliers and raw material producers. We also had the privilege of hosting ten emerging brands, helping them build important connections with suppliers, supporters, and enthusiasts at the convention. Read on to learn more about our time at SupplySide West!

This partnership is an exciting one for us. SupplySide and Naturally Network’s values and objectives are perfectly aligned, enabling us to better serve the natural products community. Year one was a huge success and we are looking forward to growing this partnership with Naturally Network.

Hosted Brands

SupplySide West made it possible for early-stage brands from this year’s Pitch Slam finalist and M/O Fellow communities to attend and access resources at this year’s conference! Our booth was buzzing with our hosted brands:

Being chosen to be part of SupplySide West with Naturally Network was an extraordinary opportunity. It helped me connect with suppliers more quickly and easily. I met and learned from leaders in the industry I would never have gotten one-on-one time with.
— Michele Freeman, CEO & Co-Founder, Venice Beach Beverage Source

Aimy Steadman, Naturally Network Board Member, Shared the Basics on Product Development

A highlight of SupplySide West was watching Aimy Steadman, a Naturally Network Board Member, take the stage and discuss the basics of product development. As a co-founder of Beatbox/Future Proof and founding member of Naturally Austin, she has a unique perspective on what it takes to innovate as an emerging CPG brand. Aimy shared a broad overview and to-do list for new product development for food and beverage. She covered:

  • Finding and working with a co-packer

  • A review of colors, flavors, and sweeteners

  • Regulatory information that helps a brand create a safe, legal food and beverage to sell to the U.S. market

  • Finding a food and beverage community to support personal and professional development

Aimy discussed how the power of community heavily influences the success of early-stage brands, and we were happy to see a huge uptick in visitors after her talk! Thank you Aimy for your inspiring and informative presentation! Miss the session and want to peep the slides that Aimy shared? Check them out below.

Office Hours by SPINS

A big part of our success at SupplySide West was due to our incredible partners. SPINS organized and executed invaluable office hours for Naturally Network Members. Over the course of three days, SPINS met with founders to give advice on important business trends and how to use data to make more informed decisions. Thank you to them and all who participated!
